I love 30th Avenue!! I have traveled all over the world in the Marines and have visited several other Churches, but 30th Ave has always felt like home to me. I have been very blessed to have Charlotte in my life, my old highschool sweetheart. We got married while I was in the military, and we now have 2 children, Austin and Savannah. There are so many other people that go to 30th Ave that have influenced me over my life that I would like to thank also, but there isn't enough room here, but I will tell a quick story:
One day the kids and I were getting ready to go to the beach on a Sunday morning. We were passing the Church when I started feeling funny inside, so I pulled over. My son Austin, asked me why we were stoped. I told him that God was telling me that we had to go to Church today. Of course, the kids were upset, until we talked about it. I was in tears at this point because I knew we had to go. I didn't want to because I was in shorts/t-shirt and flip flops, but then I felt like someone whispered to me to "come just as you are", just like it says in the Bible. I was so worried about what people would think of me, and what I looked like that day, but no one cared. I was surprised, and so happy that we went, and God even allowed us more time to go to the beach after Church becaused the rain that we were expected to get that afternoon went away. God has a way of always speaking to us all, and has led me back home to 30th Avenue!
